Rest Relax Restore - Hidden Yurt
Parent & Carer Wellbeing Sessions at The Hidden Yurt
Session Details
A couple of hours where nobody needs anything from you. When you spend so much of your time caring for, supporting and advocating for your child, finding time for yourself can be hard. Rest, Relax & Restore is a chance to step away for a couple of hours, slow down and recharge alongside other parents and carers who get it. No pressure. No expectations. Just some much-needed time for you. WHAT TO EXPECT Our two-hour sessions alternate between: *Breathwork with Anna De Vere* Gentle guided breathwork, creating space to slow down, reconnect with your body and deeply rest. 27 September · 13 October · 10 November *Sound Journey & Sharing Circle with Ali* A relaxed sharing circle followed by a restorative sound journey. There’s no pressure to share - you’re just as welcome to listen, rest and enjoy being around other people who understand. 25 October · 29 November · 8 December THEY GET IT Anna and Ali are both parents themselves. They know how easy it is to spend so much time looking after everyone else that there’s very little space left for you - and how important it can be to step away, rest and recharge. Afterwards, you’re welcome to stay for a cuppa in the café and connect with other parents and carers. WHO IS IT FOR For parents and carers of neurodivergent children and children who need extra support. You don’t need a diagnosis or referral, and you don’t need to already be part of NILU. SUBSIDISED PLACES Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, places are available for £6, £9 or £12. Simply choose the amount that feels manageable when you book. If cost is a barrier, free places are available. Email hello@nilu-cic.org and we’ll arrange it with you. No explanation needed. Come as you are. This is your time.
